Reviews and Ratings
I was delighted with the hotel's superb location, right on the main avenue leading to the Vatican, offering easy access to both the city center and Trastevere. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist. However, the dining experience, although delicious and fulfilling, could be more varied. The stunning view of St Peter's added to the charm of the location. A great value for money stay.
The hotel offers a mix of classic and improved rooms, well-lit, beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean. Despite being quieter than street-facing rooms, the thin walls may lead to some neighbor noise.
The hotel has a great location close to St Peter's Square, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. The rooms were basic but had a very large, comfy bed; however, they lacked charm compared to the impressive common areas. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. The dining options were satisfactory, and the location was excellent for sightseeing. The facilities were adequate overall.
The hotel offers clean and spacious rooms, though the lift can be unreliable. The service was helpful, especially with car hire. The location is ideal for sightseeing, situated in a renovated palace with beautiful public spaces. The dining options were delicious and varied. The facilities are well-maintained with good value for the price.
The hotel is located in an excellent spot near the Vatican, providing a beautiful view on St Peter while being surrounded by various restaurants. The rooms were generally lovely, although the bathroom was small and the layout somewhat inconvenient. The service was decent, although there were moments of stiffness. The dining options were acceptable without being exceptional, and the facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel has retained all its former glory and is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. The room setup was slightly strange with a double bed and 2 single beds for just 2 of us. However, the room lacked sufficient lighting, and the shower was extremely small. The rooms are clean and a normal size for Rome, though some are quite high up, and the lift has limitations.
Our stay at the hotel was mostly positive - the rooms were adequate for my wife and me, with a small window facing a side street. The single small lift was a bit unreliable, but being off the courtyard allowed us to enjoy the peaceful sound of the fountain. The service was a mix of experiences - the staff spoke English and the location was central, close to the Vatican, but their demeanor was often rude. However, overall, they were friendly to us. The location was a highlight for us, being quiet at night and just steps away from St Peter's, allowing for easy exploration of the city. The dining experience was decent, especially with the option to eat alfresco in the courtyard, but service could be slow. The facilities met our needs well during our stay.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were upgraded but still not as expected, lacking charm unlike the grand common areas. The staff were courteous and helpful overall, but there were moments of distraction. The location was superb for exploring Vatican attractions and enjoying evenings in Trastevere, although being near the airport may not suit everyone. The dining was good but somewhat overpriced, and the facilities were decent.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, with easy access to the Vatican and a quiet atmosphere, but limited restaurant options nearby. The service was a bit hit or miss, ranging from extremely helpful to disinterested. The dining experience was average, with a grand room but slow service. However, the rooms were lovely, albeit with a unique bathroom setup, and the facilities were good overall.
What a wonderful stay! The hotel is located in a perfect spot just a few steps away from the Vatican, offering lovely courtyard views from the large rooms. The helpful and friendly staff made my stay truly memorable.
The hotel is located steps away from the Vatican and offers a lovely ambience with quaint restaurants nearby. The rooms, although in need of updating, provide a unique stay experience. The service is mixed, with some staff being extremely friendly and helpful while others lack in manners. The dining options are excellent, offering a variety of choices for a satisfying meal. The location is great for exploring the city but may get crowded during peak seasons.
The hotel room was basic but fine with a very large, comfy bed. It was more spacious than we thought, although the furniture is outdated. Overall, it looked quiet empty due to its size.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for visiting The Vatican, the rooms offer a view of St Peter's Basilica, and the service was incredibly friendly. However, dining was a bit slow, and the hotel was generally dusty.
The hotel had beautiful rooms, magnificent views, and friendly service, but was lacking charm and felt outdated. The location was excellent for Vatican visits but a bit remote for other city areas. The dining was above average, and the facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for sightseeing, but the rooms are in need of updates. The staff is a mix of friendly and unhelpful, and the dining experience offers a good variety despite slow service. The historic setting adds charm, but some areas show wear and tear.
